Relaxation. Warm weather. And finally . . . sunshine. This chilly morning we visited the other Cinque Terre towns. Determined Vernazza is the best. Had crepes in Riomaggiore. Walked along the beach and had gelato stop #4 in Monterosso. Also saw Manarolo and Corniglia. We got back to Vernazza just as it started to rain. We were downhearted so we decided to take an after lunch siesta. When we woke up, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun was just bright and hot and gorgeous. We sunned on the rocks at the Vernazza harbor. People watched. Had dinner at the Blue Marlin Cafe. Focaccia and something else that were delectable. Gelato stop #5. Went back to our hotel room at dark, watched another Top Gear episode (the Geoff one), and now we're tucking in. A great, and much needed, recovery day.
